This is a competitive handicap to close the card and from a shortlist of The Gaikwar, Itsy Bitsy and Piverina, we will nominate THE GAIKWAR as the pick. The selection has been in good form of late and he won an apprentice handicap in good style at Brighton last time. He is unpenalised for that success and although this step up to 1m2f is not ideal, he still rates as the percentage call. Itsy Bitsy is dropped in trip which is a definite plus as she won over this distance two starts ago when she beat Thornaby Green. Piverina was an eyecatcher when she tackled this trip for the first time at Beverley last month. She wasn't beaten far that day and she was staying-on well at the finish so she is certainly one to note in the market. King After is a useful sort on his day, but he has been a big disappointment so far this season and he will need to show some more sparkle before he is able to resume winning ways. The Gaikwar is the form horse in the race and he looks the obvious choice.
