Idealist stands out at the weights and should be supported if the market speaks in his favour but in the absence of that information we'll take ELECTRIC WARRIOR. Idealist is having his first start for Andy Stringer since arriving from Germany and has been allotted a rating of 95 following some fair performances in Pattern company. If that's a true reflection of his current level of ability then he should prove to be hard to beat here. The selection is no mug himself, carrying a rating of 85 as he does and it's easier to get a handle of his current level of ability given that he's recently run well enough in handicaps to believe that it's a fair mark. We've no concerns about fitness, form or his ability to handle the surface so he has to be the pick. Tous Les Deux and Obezyana are the only other realistic contenders and both have the ability to expose chinks in the armour if the main two protagonists fail to run up to their best. The former won well at Kempton last time but pays his first visit here whereas Alan Bailey's charge made the frame over course and distance on his penultimate start. They've plenty to do at the weights though and Electric Warrior makes much more appeal.
