An interesting little maiden where BULLET MAN is just preferred to Fosool and Lyceana. The selection has to defy an absence of 419 days here, but that sort of statistic will not bother trainer Luca Cumani. In two runs last season the colt performed well over 7f and this step up to a mile looks ideal. Freshened up and enthusiastic, this may be a good time to catch him. Lyceana drops back in trip here after failing to convince over 10f on soft ground at Nottingham last month. The combination of shorter and a quicker surface should see her make a bit of an improvement here. Fosool has not been seen since April when she made a nice debut also at Colwick Park on soft ground. There is no reason why she won't act on this surface and we can anticipate another good performance, although Ed Dunlop has not had a winner for a while now. Celtic Gold is interesting coming here after a few bumper runs and he is related to decent milers. Money for that one would raise an eyebrow or two, and with nothing else appealing we'll side with Bullet Man.
