A competitive enough handicap on paper and we prefer Hammer Of The Gods to Halsion Chancer and Dvinsky. A change of tactics did not suit Giles Bravery's charge last time out but coupled with the reapplication of cheekpieces and tonguetie, we reckon a different result can be anticipated and he should be available at a price. Halsion Chancer hasn't sparkled for a while. John Best's team are in good form at present so he cannot be discounted. Dvinsky is a likeable enough sort. He is always dangerous if escaping off a frenetic early pace. Carcinetto caught the eye with a running on effort at Chester on her latest start. Diriculous has two ways of performing and the last effort was distinctly moderate. Muktasb returns from a brief absence while Whitbarrow hasn't shown for a while but it would folly to discount him given the form of the Rod Millman stable. Hammer Of The Gods is hardly bombproof as selections go but we are prepared to forgive him a bad run under extenuating circumstances.
