Bazguy is the selection in the opener with Copperbottomed and Billion Dollar Kid respected. David Evans' charge has been a little in and out of late but his last run at Kempton wasn't a total write off as he exhibited lots of early speed and it might be enough to get him home. Copperbottomed is a regular at this grade. It's difficult to work out as to the value of his second at Wolverhampton over this trip as the winner of that event was tried at an unrealistic level last time out. Billon Dollar Kid has had problems with wind and looks to have regressed rapidly from his run in the Britannia. The fact that connections are prepared to come here suggests they are unafraid of losing him. Glenveagh was quietly backed at Hamilton at the weekend and is watched in the market. New Balls Please was turned over in a weaker affair at Chepstow. Wreningham might be better over five furlongs. A race in which few hold realistic chances and Bazguy is put up to minimum stakes.
