IVORY SILK is taken to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of First Order and Fromsong. The selection has had two starts for this new yard since being claimed in October for a substantial 16,000. That looked to be a bit of a gamble as he didn't look that well-handicapped but his trainer has worked the oracle and eked out two subsequent wins from him. Although now up to a career-high mark of 84, another win could be around the corner. He used to reside with Dean Ivory, who saddles Fromsong today. Although getting on in years, the gelding has run some good races in defeat lately and should go close again. Wotashirtful is not one to trust implicitly as he has had enough good chances lately without hitting the bulls-eye, so a bigger threat could be First Order. Punters know what they get if they back Ann Stokell's charge but he still looks competitive despite edging up to this new mark of 82. Know No Fear and Storey Hill return to action, and of Derek Shaw's duo, the former could be the most interesting as he is unexposed and didn't cost much at the sales. Silver Prelude is one to watch in the betting, however it is Ivory Silk who is taken to win again.
