In depth

Verdict

SUZI SPENDS has only been raised 2lbs for her length defeat of Turfani over a mile here three weeks ago and Hugh Collingridge's fily is taken to follow up that success, getting the verdict ahead of French Riviera and Wogan's Sister. The last mentioned has been in good form of late with dual wins at Yarmouth and a respectable effort when third at Newbury in her last three starts and David Elsworth's filly has to be respected back on the Polytrack today. Cupid's Glory ran better at Lingfield last time and has to be considered on a fair mark, especially with the yard's runners in good heart at present. Mark Johnston's Always Certain has claims on the pick of his form but has disappointed of late so looks best watched at present, while Resplendent Ace seems a shade high in the weights and may struggle to concede weight all round. Sir Michael Stoute's French Riviera is less exposed than his rivals after just four starts and has to be of interest but preference is for Suzi Spends.
