Verdict

Calgath was returning from a very long break when just failing to hold off Acrux Cass, who was receiving 9lb, at Tramore last month and it will be a surprise if he isn't there at the finish here. Winning hurdler Conron will have found 1m3f much too short at Killarney and this is more like his trip while three-times hurdles winner Davids Charm performed with credit in the Galway Hurdle last month. Backsheesh was an impressive bumper winner at Tramore last month while Marine One had some fair form for David Simcock and is an interesting recruit for Denis Hogan. DAYS WITHOUT END started off with a victory in a Downpatrick bumper a year ago and though slightly disappointing subsequently his close third in a Galway handicap over this trip a month ago should give him the edge.
