In depth

Verdict

Lough Ferrib has won his last four starts over hurdles and even found time to score on the Flat at Down Royal last month. He's obviously in great heart but is on a high enough mark as a result and was beaten on the level at Ballinrobe in July by Binocular, who is massively better off at the weights here. The latter was beaten five lengths by Jack Cool at Listowel two weeks ago but the winner has been raised an astonishing 17lbs and Binocular should take his revenge. Sandymount Lady has been mainly consistent and it could have been the fast ground that resulted in a poor run when favourite for a 1m4f handicap at Tramore in August. She can go well here but it's about time THE LADY GRANUAILE was losing her maiden tag over timber after several decent efforts with her short-head defeat by Doransfirth at Galway in August looking strong enough for for this.
