Ramona Chase was ridden out to win over course and distance by three-quarters of a length last month and has every chance of following up that success but a 7lb rise since then makes this more difficult and a better bet looks to be Saeed Bin Suroor's MODEYRA, who gets the vote. Successful on his only start so far when landing a Doncaster maiden as a juvenile in October the daughter of Shamardal showed a liking for cut in the ground that day and can make a winning start to her three-year-old career on her handicap debut off what looks a fair mark of 88. Henry Cecil's Kithonia should appreciate the drop in class but seems too high in the weights and of more interest may be Chris Wall's course and distance winner Plaisterer, although she would probably prefer faster ground. Aestival is another worthy of a mention now that Sir Mark Prescott has his string in good heart.
