Verdict

Being by Captain Rio, Ralph Beckett's AGONY AND ECSTASY not surprisingly enjoys plenty of give in the ground and he looks worth siding with to resume winning ways despite having gone up in the weights for his win on his reappearance at Chepstow in May and is only 1lb lower than when well held at Goodwood on fast ground on his only subsequent start in July. Rae Guest's Conciliatory should be alright on the ground but has yet to race on going this testing, while Dubai Miracle is hard to recommend on all known form. Mark Johnston's Guest Book would probably prefer fast ground and of more interest may be David Simcock's Pintura, who has no problems with the underfoot conditions but is maybe a shade high in the handicap.
