      Verdict

Alkaadhem should have no trouble getting back to winning ways, with Spencers Wood the best of his older rivals. Alkaadhem, a Godolphin cast-off, quickly made his mar in maiden company at Warwick at the start of the month and although no match for Meshaheer at Newbury next time, stuck to his task really well. On that evidence he has little to fear here from fully exposed opposition, the best of whom looks to be Spencers Wood. Peter Makin's six-year-old is however having his first start of the season and is entitled to be ring rusty as will Dark Charm who had quite a good three-year-old campaign. All in all this is one of the less competitive races on the card and on that should be safely left to Alkaadhem.
