It's no easy task but OSIRIS WAY has won off 1lb higher in the past, so can be expected to cope with top weight in the finale. Piazza San Pietro has been a revelation of late and will post a big threat if he is also still ahead of the assessor, while Bajan Tryst, Medici Time and Lost In Paris are others that arrive here in good form and merit serious consideration. It all bodes well for a good scrap at the business end. The booking of Ryan Moore is a positive move for Lost In Paris as the four-year-old bids to get back to winning ways. Moore got on well with the gelding at Epsom last week, which sets things up nicely for today's encounter. Medici Time (a stablemate of Lost In Paris) is another tough cookie who makes the long journey down from Tim Easterby's North Yorkshire base. The gelding is suited by a truly-run five furlongs and, as a versatile character; he is virtually guaranteed to cope with the ground. A bit of give underfoot would ideally suit Bajan Tryst, as he is yet to win on ground faster than good. However, the mount of Jamie Spencer is tough and game, so can be relied upon to give his all whatever happens. A similar comment applies to Piazza San Pietro now that he appears to have got his act together. However, he has shot up 17lbs in the ratings during the last two months and it will take another improved effort to defy the latest penalty. Therefore, it can pay to take a chance on everything falling into place for Osiris Way, who is ideally berthed (in stall five) to take advantage of the likely strong pace on his side of the draw. Jim Crowley has been in the hot seat in five of Osiris Way's seven previous wins and, having already tasted success at the Glorious Festival, the selection will not be found wanting for effort nor confidence from the saddle.
