Clive Cox looks to hold a strong hand. Aratus, beautifully handled by his trainer to land his last three starts, has a leading chance in a race which sees him step up in grade. However, stable companion DANCE FEVER will prove a worthy adversary and this 7f specialist is taken to regain the winning thread after excellent efforts in this grade at Doncaster and in the International Handicap at Ascot. Al Rufaa has been gelded and returns to action after 11 months away but is still worth a second look and Escobar has been running well in a series of warm handicaps.
