Kinsya is fancied to cope with top weight in this company and edges a slender verdict over Ebert and Safqa, while Speedy Sam and Pagan Crest are others that can go well at longer odds. Speedy Sam was far from disgraced in defeat behind a well regarded type of Michael Jarvis' at Pontefract last time out. In fact, the son of Medicean has never been out of the money in any of his previous five starts - a record which gives him solid each-way claims in this company. Watch the betting carefully where he is concerned. Safqa has also been a good money spinner and seems to be getting better with each outing. The penny seems to have dropped with her and she will be dangerous to ignore now that she appears to know what is required from her. Ebert was an unlucky loser last time and, as such is likely to be popular in his bid to make amends. However, this is a much tougher assignment and, at a track notorious for in-race scrimmaging, he needs everything to fall into place for him. he is well drawn though, so should not be written off too quickly. However, preference goes to Kinsya, who is a typically tough individual from the Mark Tompkins yard. His latest victory at Newmarket confirmed he is impervious to the ground conditions and, as he has fine battling qualities; he is fancied to cope with this latest test of his resilience.
