Usk Poppy is fancied to atone for her near miss at Newmarket last time and is preferred over Silver Dip and Creative Mind. There may also be more to come from Home Sweet Home, who is a consistent type and can well at fair odds for one of the places. Creative Mind has held her form well this term and, as she has no doubts about the trip or ground, she is shortlisted as a big threat to the selection. She does need to register a career best effort to come out on top this afternoon though. Silver Dip has bits and pieces of form that give her solid claims and, with Barry Hills still firing in the winners this daughter of Gulch should not be underestimated. Nevertheless, Usk Poppy makes a touch more appeal from a betting perspective. The David Elsworth-trained filly has shown a good level of progression and, as she has very little to find to be in the thick of the action, she gets our nomination as a sporting choice in a very tricky race to call.
