An extreme draw, one way or the other, is usually beneficial over Goodwood's minimum trip, and with that in mind we take Rudi's Pet on the nearside to beat The Jobber, who is drawn on the far side, with Cerulean Rose another big danger. Rudi's Pet gets on really well with today's 7lb claimer Victoria Behan, and although five furlongs on fast ground is ideal, he has won with cut in the past. Dandy Nicholls is a master with his sprinters at this track, and with the veteran gelding in great heart he can complete a hat-trick. The Jobber also handles cut, and has Kieren Fallon in the plate here. A 4lb rise for his Sandown success looks fair, and if it turns out that the far side is favoured then he would be the one. Cerulean Rose is another on the far side and although out of the handicap, she has some solid form to bring to the party, though she would probably prefer it quicker. Don't totally discount the Milton Bradley-trained Whistler, though he is due a drop shortly, but we are happy to side with old man Rudi's Pet to win again.
