A high draw is to the advantage of Pango, who is preferred over Pintle, Freeloader and What A Dancer as he bids for the hat-trick of straight wins. There a few others that can go well for each-way players though and moves for the likes of Evaluator, Compton Drake, who makes his seasonal debut today, and Rebate should not be ignored. It would also be dangerous to leave out Omaha City, as he runs well above himself at this course and, as he proved when marginally holding Ephesus on his penultimate start, he can never confidently be ruled out at his favourite track. However, Pango is open to a touch more improvement at this trip and has come on in leaps and bounds since he made a very satisfactory return here in May. The fact that his yard have hit form just at the right time for this meeting is also an obvious plus and they will all have to get past Pango if they are to land the finale on day-one of this meeting.
