A tricky start to the Glorious meeting with 17 runners contesting this mile and quarter handicap. Spanish Don holds strong claims on recent form, but we will take a chance on the fitness of Fantastic Love, with Coat Of Honour and Courageous Duke two others to consider. The selection was with Mark Johnston last season and put up some tremendous performances culminating in a short head victory over Salsalino in the King George the Fifth handicap at Royal Ascot, he hasn't raced since but being from the Saeed bin Suroor yard he should be fit to do his job. Spanish Don comes here at the top of his game following two victories at Kempton and looks set to go close again. Coat Of Honour will strip a lot fitter following his venture up to York for the John Smiths Cup and comes into the argument on the best of last season's form. Courageous Duke makes a quick return to the racecourse after chasing home the impressive Mr Monet on Saturday and may do best of the rest. However Fantastic Love is just short of group class and looks set to oblige in a fascinating opener.
