Erte, Northern Spirit, Bonjour Bond and Frambo look to the principles in this competitive contest to open the card and we will make Erte the tentative choice. The selection was a huge disappointment at Brighton last time but he had previously run well at Lingfield, and he looks to be really well treated here on the pick of his form. Frambo is on a handy mark and is returning to the flat after a race over the hurdles at Stratford. She ran well enough on her last effort on the flat at Lingfield, although she was behind our selection that day, but with conditions to suit here she should go well. Northern Spirit was well beaten here last time but will appreciate these faster conditions, a comment that also applies to Bonjour Bond who has yet to build on his early promise. However, in a race where many would have chances on their best form we will return to Erte as our idea of the winner.
