Quintrell gets a narrow vote over the likes of Glencalvie, Skyelady, Logsdail and Grimes Faith. This has an open look to it, but the recent win of Quintrell at Lingfield augurs well for her chances of finding the improvement needed to make an immediate impact on this, her handicap bow. Henry Candy's filly has in truth been disappointing, but she did run well behind Rydal Mount here in May, handling the conditions, and today's race is distinctly moderate. Glancalvie did not win by much at Yarmouth last time, and that was on faster ground, but he at least has some recent form to his name so rates a danger. Skyelady ran her best race of the season at Thirsk, and with Jamie Spencer booked to ride, she is worth a mention, while Logsdail will appreciate the conditions and is fairly handicapped compared to last year. Grimes Faith has been in and out and was beaten over the weekend, and is another that cannot be recommended with any confidence. Bets should be kept to the absolute minimum here, with Quintrell the selection.
