Hadahoo can defy topweight at the expense of Zoom One, Grand Heights and Jawaab, with Spiderback best of the remainder. Hadahoo is a progressive sort judged on his latest effort at Thirsk last month when he relished both the step up to a mile and testing conditions. A Vodafone Derby entry, he would have to improve much more to be considered for such events, but should make a bold bid here on his handicap debut. Zoom One is in the same ownership, and he too appears to be on the upgrade, but his Redcar success was gained on faster ground, while Grand Heights has yet to impress, but should have enough stamina on breeding, so is worth a mention. Jawaab was a beaten favourite at Bath last time, when not getting the best of runs, but his ability to handle cut in the ground is open to question. He does meet Spiderback, who was just ahead of him, on a pound better terms though, and should at least turn the tables on that rival. With more to come though, Hadahoo can prove up to the task.
