Lorena Wood can get recent losses back, with Tokyo Rose, Madrigale and Iolanthe all worth considering. Brian Meehan has a good crop of juveniles this season, and on latest evidence, Lorena Wood is capable of adding to the stable's tally. The daughter of high-class sprinter Vilikaia is a full-sister to Compton Dragon, and showed enough speed when third to the useful Princess Iris at Nottingham to suggest that she can pay her way, especially given a bit of cut in the ground. Today's conditions should be ideal, and with Frankie Dettori on board, she looks the one to be on. Tokyo Rose finished well up the Sandown hill and will be suited by the step up in trip, so rates a danger, as does Madrigale who was outpaced on the fast ground on her recent Bath debut but came home a creditable third behind Vaunt. Iolanthe's dam is a half-sister to Titus Livius, so she should be blessed with her fair share of speed, and the selection's stablemate is worth bearing in mind for the future. On this occasion though, we have no hesitation in nominating Lorena Wood as the answer.
