        Verdict

        Not the easiest race to work out with Pay The Grey selected ahead of Trenchtown and Benhavis. Always Brave, Benhavis, Dauberval, Elegant Step and Graceful Descent have all shown some promise. Mick Channon's Flying Time catches the eye on breeding but was cheaply acquired. Shadows Fall should improve on his debut run and Pay The Grey is a very interesting newcomer from the Richard Hannon stable. Finally, Trenchtown looks the type to improve markedly on his Sandown debut. The betting market should tell us more but, without that, the selection is Pay The Grey.
