The betting market might prove informative for this fillies handicap. Ficoma is selected ahead of Gentle Guru and Princess Valerina. The selection is lightly-raced and has raced only twice this season. On her latest start she chased home good winner Nadawat, the race being run in a fast time. She has improvement in her and can go well. Bluebelle Dancer has a length and a half to find based on that form. Gentle Guru has races in her and she showed that she could handle this track when fifth over five furlongs here last time. The step up in trip today can only help. Princess Valerina is in the skilled hands of Barry Hills and she was considered good enough to run in the 1,000 Guineas earlier in the campaign, while Regal Quest's form is pretty solid and she can't be ruled out and the well-bred Plucky won well in maiden company last time. Once again, though, the selection is Ficoma.
