Prince Of Light showed plenty of promise on his debut and can land this maiden contest from the Barry Hills pair Criminal Act and Laith. Mark Johnston's colt, quite an expensive purchase, was well fancied in that Doncaster event but didn't get going until late on. He will be much straighter this afternoon and should take care of business. Laith has contested two decent events at Newmarket and Newbury. He wasn't beaten far in either and the form of both races has worked out pretty well. The experience will stand him in good stead here and he will be hard to keep out of the money. Criminal Act is a very interesting newcomer. He is related to an Italian Derby winner so may want further in time but could go well over this trip at this stage of his career. Judraan is another debutante to keep an eye on as regards the betting, but on this occasion we will go with experience and side with Prince Of Light.
