Film Maker is selected to land the finale at the main expense of Osiris Way and Seamus Shindig. Brian Meehan's colt was the easy winner of a Redcar maiden three starts back but then found the step up to listed company at Epsom beyond him on his penultimate start. He returned after a near two month absence last time to run respectably and remains on a reasonable mark from which he should be capable of scoring off. Osiris Way does not help his cause over six furlongs by racing keenly and holds very little on the handicapper but can always be taken to run his race while Seamus Shindig has benefited from three excellent rides from his young apprentice, the partnership appearing to suit each other perfectly. He needs to be dropped on the line and as a consequence is difficult for the assessor to rate but the six furlongs over this course suits him. Thebes is a very in and out sort who is now 7lb higher for his victory at Newmarket last time. The quicker six furlongs here are not as likely to suit him as the stiff six at Newmarket last time. Film Maker is the selection to land it.
