In the absence of Paco Boy this can go the way of Raven's Pass. Success for John Gosden's miler would be thoroughly deserved as he has beaten all bar Champion Miler elect, Henrythenavigator, on two of his last three starts; sandwiched between those defeats was another second in a Group 1 at Chantilly and he should prove to be very difficult to beat as he's a straightforward ride. Bankable continues to progress and ran well when stepped up to ten furlongs at Newbury to only go down by half a length to a rejuvenated Passage Of Time. He's a course and distance winner but lacks the class of the selection. Third Set was very disappointing at Salisbury on his seasonal return but it's more than likely that he failed to act on the soft ground that day and the conditions would have to be a worry once again. Docofthebay and Dubai's Touch are decent sorts who have run well at this unique track in the past but they shouldn't be good enough to match strides with Raven's Pass. There hasn't been a three year-old winner of this race since 2001 but there's no need to look beyond Raven's Pass today.
