A tricky staying event is next with the majority of the field seemingly in decent form but the vote goes to PENANG PRINCESS just ahead of Devil To Play and On Terms. The selection hails from the very much in form Ralph Beckett yard that have a 22% strike rate over the past two weeks. Stable form like that is always a huge confidence booster but this horse merits respect from his own form. He made a pleasing seasonal debut when running third to a very game front runner. He was just piped for third late on and now with a run under his belt and the step up in trip to suit we fancy Jim Crowley's mount to go close today. His biggest danger may come from Alan King's Devil To Play who will have the services of Richard Hughes. He was beaten favourite on his last start but that was in a fair contest on softer than ideal ground. The step up in trip today will also suit and he should go well as long as the ground stays quick. On Terms won over the course and distance 13 days ago but this looks tougher. Her attitude is faultless though so she should be in the mix. Others to note are Calculating and Coda Agency but Penang Princess gets the vote.
