Mossman Gorge won this race last year but it will be slightly surprising if he can repeat the dose and preference is for MEDITERRANEAN SEA ahead of Ghufa. Ryan Moore is an eyecatching booking for John Jenkins' charge who comes into the race on the back of a victory at Southwell in February. She got raised by 5lbs for that success but, given that she began her handicap career from a mark of 58, that may not prove to be too harsh and she's taken to make a winning return to action. Mossman Gorge was a big price when winning this contest last year so is hard to dismiss with confidence given that he lines up from a 3lb lower mark this year but he lacks a recent run and is best passed over. Ghufa has done all of his winning at Wolverhampton and he has only finished in the money once on turf but he's attractively weighted on his all-weather form so he has to be feared from an attractive mark whilst Champagne Fizz shouldn't be ignored but preference is for Mediterranean Sea.
