Something Exciting can get back to winning ways in this competitive Oaks trial, Corcoran and Thakafaat look the best alternatives. David Elsworth's filly progressed nicely last season landing two nurseries and a Listed contest. Her final run when beaten at odds on can be ignored as she was never going well and had probably had enough of racing by then. She has won on this course and looks the one to be on today. Corcoran was unfancied when winning her maiden at Leicester as she was big and burly. She is certain to make a better three-year-old and looks the main threat to the selection. Thakafaat is upped in class having easily landed a Pontefract maiden last time but John Dunlop is not one to shoot for the stars so she has to be respected. Luca Cumani's Element Of Truth was impressive on her debut and looks the pick of the others, but Something Exciting can put her experience to good use and she gets our vote.
