Verdict
Lawgiver has obvious claims and gets the vote over Royal Glen, with We'll Meet Again and I'm Your Man likely to make their presence felt. Not too many have claims here, and as Lawgiver can already boast a win over the course and distance, Tim Fitzgerald's charge should have the edge. He can be considered unlucky on his last start at Wetherby where he jumped to the right over the final flight when in with every chance, and but for that he may well have won. Compensation is on the cards here, and he has a favourite's chance. Royal Glen followed a win in selling company at Hexham with a fair fourth in a slightly better affair at Perth next time but surely has to improve again, while We'll Meet Again needs to brush up his jumping. I'm Your Man has to shoulder topweight and will find conditions plenty fast enough, and all in all, it is hard to escape the claims of Lawgiver.
