Notnowcato is very lightly raced and can land this valuable prize from Wingman and North Shore. Sir Michael Stoute's colt is improving with each outing and lost his maiden tag in good style last time beating today's rival Defi by just under two lengths. He looks to be still on the upgrade and should be capable of confirming that form on five pounds worse terms. North Shore is another that is steadily improving and his recent fourth in a competitive handicap at Kempton gives him strong claims here. However the main threat to the selection could be Wingman. The John Hills trained colt has just over two lengths to make up on the Stoute colt from that Newmarket race but he had to be switched towards the outside for his effort after being held up in rear, stayed on well and looks sure to improve. So quite a competitive race to start things off, but the progressive Notnowcato just gets the verdict.
