In depth

Verdict

King Charles is selected here ahead of Serengeti and Oakley Heffert. King Charles ended last season on a high and comes here seeking a four-timer. He pobably won a little bit easier on his final start than seemed to the naked eye and he might be able to defy a further rise in the ratings. Serengeti has looked progressive on the all-weather and he is interesting switched to Turf, and he comes here fit, but Without Excuse will need to build on his British debut if he is to score. Monachello needs to build on his last two juvenile efforts, but Oakley Heffert holds claims based on his Windsor win and all-weather third last time so can bag some money, and he holds his stablemate Bajan Pride based their all-weather meeting last time. Once again, though, the selection is King Charles.
