A tough finale to Glorious Goodwood with the vote going to Chico Guapo, who gets the verdict over Cape Royal and the consistent Malapropism. The selection is well drawn in stall 14, comes here in good form having made all to win at Chester last time and remains favourably treated. Lynda Ramsden's Cape Royal has a 2lb pull for half-a-length on Chester running, plus the assistance of Kieren Fallon but has been done few favours drawn in stall one. Malapropism usually finds at least one too good and is likely to do so again so a bigger threat to the selection may be Ikan. Nick Littmoden's filly bounced back to form with a comfortable success at Sandown last month. A 5lb rise since then is fair and he has to be respected but we just prefer Chico Guapo, who is taken to follow up her recent Chester success.
