We're going to take a chance with GOOD GORSOON in the finale ahead of Cape Vale and Bosun Breeze. The selection's yard appears to have found a little form in the last fortnight or so but this one has been running creditably all season. His style of running makes life difficult for him and he's repeatedly met traffic problems but he did get things right when beating Bosun Breeze by a head at Windsor in May. That rival is comfortably weighted to reverse the form having shot down the weights with alacrity and he comes into the race on the back of a stylish performance at Sandown where he wore a tongue tie for the first time. The selection therefore is not that logical but these sprint handicaps are never that straightforward and the Hills horse will never win by too far and isn't badly treated on his York form. Rash Judgement and Chartist are two with chances on their best form but of more interest is Cape Vale given that Dandy Nicholls has gone close to landing the last two renewals with smart sprinters. Cape Vale is a half-brother to Moss Vale and ran better than the bare facts suggest at Newmarket last time but he has only had one start over five in his career and didn't win that one which raises concerns as he reverts to the minimum trip today so we'll come back to Good Gorsoon in the hope that he gets the gaps at the right time.
