Visit has leading claims and Red Dune is a fascinating runner but there may be better value to be had in siding with GIPSON DESSERT. Riding here will be a new experience for Christophe Lemaire but he is a top-class pilot and he has the ride on a very smart filly here. She has come up short in three previous attempts at this level but two of the races were won by smart sorts in Gagnoa and Zarkava and there isn't anything of their quality here. She will see out this trip well and is good enough to at least make the frame if taking to the trap. Nijoom Dubai finished further behind Zarkava at Longchamp in May than the selection had done earlier in the year although her chance was compromised by her draw. She has a bit to prove now as do Vital Statistics and Spinning Lucy whereas Red Dune, Clifton Dancer and Our Faye are rapidly progressing. The last two have already proved this season that an official rating is no guide when it comes to progressive fillies and we can ignore the fact that Red Dune has in excess of a stone to find. Michael Jarvis has always held her in high regard as an autumn Group 1 entry indicates and this front runner has the best of the draw. Visit ran really well on her reappearance to only fail by a neck to give 6lbs to her rivals. That run is sure to have brought her on and she followed a similar path to some of the yard's best fillies last year but she took a long time to get going over Sandown's stiff mile that day which has to be a concern dropping back in trip on a faster track. This appears to be a decent renewal of this contest but Gipson Dessert may just be able to make her raid a successful one.
