Prince Erik had little chance in the Irish National but his close second to Chicago Grey in a beginners chase here a year ago puts him right in the frame for this. The classy hurdler Muirhead made a winning debut over fences at Punchestown but jumped stickily at Cork and will need to improve in that sphere here. THE LAST DERBY had Sarteano two lengths behind when runner-up to the very useful Mossey Joe at Cork and the pair should get involved on that form with the former just getting the vote to prove his subsequent effort at Uttoxeter all wrong. Truckers Delight has won just once in eight starts over fences but has generally run very well and is another for the short-list. Miss Mary Mac made a spectacular start to her chasing career at Down Royal but the going was on the easy side and she would prefer some rain.
