Verdict

Camlann, who won over fences at Killarney last month, showed his versatility by scoring over this track and trip on Thursday. He comes here with a 6lb penalty and should make a bold bid again though ERIN (NAP) looks the one to be on. The Ballydoyle filly gave notice of an imminent victory when beaten a neck over this trip at Bellewstown and could hardly have been more impressive when dropping back to 1m1f at Gowran for which a 6lb rise doesn't look excessive. Sennockian Star was gaining his 15th victory on his 108th start at Down Royal last weekend though prefers quicker ground and Polytrack these days. Lady Camelot ran well over the trip here earlier in the week though has a 2lb rise to contend with, as does the runner-up Flindt. Magic Sea was engaged in the 5.45 here yesterday.
