This consolation race looks well below the standard of the main event later on the card. CLASSIC SENIORITY came up against a sprinter that has improved more than a stone this year when second at Hamilton. His form this season has a solid look about it and he won off a higher mark last year so might be the one to beat as long as a low draw doesn’t prove a disadvantage. Golden Steps is usually thereabouts and the three-year-olds Chagatai and Militia, who is still improving, go on the short-list. Count Otto could also go well under a talented claimer. Zac Brown, George Dryden and Shepherd's Purse are others to consider and Oeil De Tigre and Boy In The Bar are previous course and distance winners.
