Verdict

This a very tricky staying handicap which will not take much winning but hopefully GREAT OCEAN ROAD can go in ahead of El Batal and Mighty Moose. Charlie Mann is a trainer I really like and also has a good strike rate here at Fontwell. His charge does not look to have much chance in this with the form figures he has posted but they were in much stronger hurdle races. Its very interesting he's been sent chasing now after two spins in recent months. Great Ocean Road is a former Irish pointer and so is very interesting in this race and could go well at a very nice price. Top weight El Batal is sure to go well with a good seven lbs claimer on board. He also has course and distance form and his recent form is not bad either. Mighty Moose is a horse who is very quirky but is capable on his day but we will return to Great Ocean Road for the win.
