The second race on the card is a maiden hurdle and it looks a match between Calon Crwbin and Shakalakaboomboom with slight preference for the latter named. This quicker ground and sharp track should really suit the Henderson horse who has been slightly disappointing thus far. He seems to travel well in his races but just does not find enough when off the bridle. As long as the ground stays quick he should be able to out speed Calon Crwbin. The Thorpe horse has been more consistent than the selection but has always been vulnerable to speed horses at the finish and this sharp track may expose him a bit. However, it is a track suited to horses that race up with the pace so he does have a big chance. Of the rest the Alan King Horse, Jetnova, is a very interesting recruit from the pointing game. He has plenty of winning form in the points field so must be respected at this trip given connections. Bon Spiel and Smooth Classic are best of the rest.
