Tamango is rated much lower over hurdles than over the larger obstacles so has to be respected but the Phillip Hobbs-trained gelding was well beaten when last seen over timber in July and a safer bet looks to be Borehill Joker, with Equilibria rated the pick of the remainder. The selection lost no caste in defeat behind the progressive Millards Lad last month and again over course and distance last month so Victor Dartnell's gelding would hardly be winning out of turn. Red Moor has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his win at Newton Abbot last month, while Iron Maid is less exposed than most but remains a maiden. Mistified is a consistent performer and has place claims at least but a bigger threat is likely to come from Gary Moore's Equilibria, who has slipped to a fair mark. Borehill Joker has solid claims in this company though and he is preferred.
