Yes Sir can beat the newcomer Roll Along in what looks a two-horse race on paper. Just the four turn out in the finale, and on the evidence of two promising runs to date, Yes Sir should have the measure of Roll Along on this occasion at least. Peter Bowen's five-year-old has finished second in both of his bumpers, the most recent when chasing home Black Jack Ketchum at Worcester in June. Andy Thornton knows how to get them to jump and he will lack nothing in that department. Brian Burrough has owned some good horses with the Pitmans over the years and Roll Along, a son of Arc winner Carroll House, is sure to be found a suitable opportunity to shine. He could be anything, but in the absence of public form, a watching brief is advised, and with the other two looking nothing special at all, Yes Sir should be capable of making a winning debut over timber.
