Insubordinate was most impressive last time and can land the double at the expense of Seneschal and Locombe Hill. There were doubts about the selection acting on the heavy ground at Newcastle, but he handled it well and won nicely from Impulsive Bid. This appears to be a slightly stronger event but he did win with something in hand on that occasion and he looks the one to beat here. Seneschal makes a quick reappearance after winning comfortably at Newcastle on Sunday and with the Mick Channon yard firing on all cylinders he will be a major threat to all. Locombe Hill is holding his form well, he beat Northern Games over course and distance in mid September before chasing home Yorker at Hamilton a week later. He is set to run another good race, along with the consistent Cherished Number, but Insubordinate will love this ground and is open to plenty of improvement, making him our confident choice.
