Verdict

Colmers Hill has a mark of 105 by virtue of finishing third behind Dueling Banjos in March of last year but was beaten a long way and hasn't run since the following month. Greyed A has a victory over hurdles at Lingfield a year ago to his credit and started favourite on his chasing debut back there last month but weakened very quickly from four out and has even further to travel. He should do better than that and Richard Johnson rides him again. GOOSEN MAVERICK was rated 76 when easily landing a Warwick handicap last month. He's been raised 10lb but this is such a poor contest that he's very difficult to oppose. Staunton was placed several times in very minor company over hurdles last season and makes her chasing debut for new connections. She's related to several winning jumpers and looks the main threat despite a long absence. Goodnightirene, a winning point-to-pointer in Ireland, has shown nothing for Laura Young but Bobonyx was placed a couple of times over fences earlier this year and isn't without a chance.
