Verdict

BANKSTAIR can land this novices' handicap hurdle at the main expense of Tutor and Tabaran. The selection ran well enough when finishing third behind Hunting Tower at Towcester last month. He shaped that day as though he would be suited by a longer trip and as he gets that here he should take plenty of beating. In contrast, Tutor did not get home over 2m4f last time so he should be seen to better effect over this shorter trip. He should go well, although this will be his ninth start over hurdles and he has yet to get his head in front. Tabaran finished behind Tutor when last seen out and it is hard to see him turning the tables today. The Emma Lavelle-trained Tweed River was far from disgraced on his handicap debut last time and he remains lightly-raced so there could be more to come from him. Bankstair makes most appeal here and gets the vote.
