Ulysses is a rare runner over hurdles for Ralph Beckett but became disappointing on the Flat. Newt finished ahead of Tidal Watch at Worcester last month but was behind both Kereman and Il Sicario on debut at Newton Abbot. Kiruna Peak won twice on good to firm on the Flat so has to be of interest but CHAPARRACHIK is just preferred. He didn’t win on the level but was placed three times up to 2m so should go close if taking to jumps.
