Verdict

Keep To The Beat has won just once in 38 career starts so looks a risky proposition as he was 4l behind Mr Mulliner, who was beaten 10 lengths when second over course and distance last time. The in-form Tim Vaughan runs two and Midnight Queen has won a point and a chase at Newton Abbot this summer, though was beaten a distance in a seller the last time she ran over hurdles. Stablemate FRASER CANYON was keeping better company when last seen around the turn of the year. He may have preferred some give in the ground but is probably a bit better than most of these. Mauna Kea also has decent claims but Beautiful People was a disappointing favourite at Sedgefield in August and has gone up a further 5lb since.
