    Verdict

The well bred Mardi Roberta showed promise on her debut at Fakenham in April and has to be respected but Brendan Powell's filly is likely to do better once sent over obstacles and of more interest may be Bubbs, who gets the vote ahead of Cliffords Girl. The selection looked as though she would come on for the run when a creditable third behind Greenlough at Bangor and Charlie Egerton's filly would not need to improve much on that evidence to trouble the judge here. Jimmy Frost's Little Miss Flute makes only limited appeal on pedigree, while the non-thoroughbred Elle Est Si Bonne would be a similarly unlikely winner. Cliffords Girl ran better at Worcester last time and makes more appeal than most but it is Bubbs, who is preferred and gets the vote.
